The project aimed to improve the school's semi-basement ground floor by creating a series of multipurpose spaces suitable for use as a dining room, auditorium or classroom. The renovation also needed to improve circulation and allow certain areas — primarily toilets and changing rooms — to remain accessible outside school hours and at weekends. The key move was to relocate a single stair flight, which alone allowed the floor to be reorganised and improved the connection to the exterior. All spaces were fully refurbished. The choice of colours, materials and finishes prioritised durability, robustness and ease of cleaning. Spatial flow and visual transparency between rooms were both enhanced.
