An open competition organised by the City of Oulu to design a covered pavilion for the city's Summer Theatre. The proposal centred on a clearly defined, square timber-framed box that stood in deliberate contrast to the surrounding park and natural landscape. The design also included a secondary stage that could open fully onto the park, accommodating a wide range of events and activities. The proposal was awarded an honourable mention and purchased by the organiser.
